Effective date: July 8, 2026 · Operated by CRSP Technologies Inc., a company incorporated in Canada.
By downloading or using the Crsp app or the getcrsp.ca website (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. What Crsp is
Crsp is a news-reading app. We gather headlines from public news feeds (RSS) published by trusted news organizations, and we use AI to write short original summaries (about sixty words each) so you can catch up quickly. Every summary links to the original article at its source, and we encourage you to read the full story there. Crsp is a discovery and summarization service. We are not the publisher of the underlying news.
2. AI summaries: accuracy and how to use them
Summaries, “deep dives”, and “insights” are generated by AI and, while we run multiple quality checks, they may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information.
Summaries are a starting point, not the authoritative record. For anything important, follow the source link and read the original reporting. We don’t guarantee that any summary is complete, accurate, or current, and we’re not responsible for decisions you make based on a summary alone.
3. Not professional advice
Crsp is for general information only. Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, legal, medical, or other professional advice. Polls, insights, and any market or health related content are informational and must not be relied on for decisions. Always consult a qualified professional.
4. Content and intellectual property
Our content: the Crsp app, its design, the Crsp name and logo, and the summaries, insights, and other text we generate are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may read and share links, but you may not copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our content or summaries at scale without our permission.
Publishers’ content: headlines, article text, and images originate from the news organizations that publish them and remain their property. We surface them under fair-dealing and aggregation practice, with attribution and links back to the source.
Publisher requests: any publisher who does not want to be included can contact us via our publishers page and we will remove their feed.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use automated means to scrape, copy, or bulk-download the Service or our APIs;
- attempt to break, overload, probe, or bypass the security of the Service;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its content;
- use the Service for anything unlawful.
6. No account required
Crsp works without a login or account. Your bookmarks, reading history, and preferences are stored on your device, not on our servers (see the Privacy Policy). Because there’s no account, keep your device secure: anyone using your device can see your saved items.
7. Third-party sources and links
The Service links to third-party websites and content. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for those sites, their content, or their practices. Following a source link takes you outside Crsp, subject to that site’s own terms and privacy policy.
8. Availability, beta, and changes
The Service may be updated, interrupted, or discontinued at any time. During early releases some features may be experimental. We may change these Terms; if we make a material change we’ll update the effective date and, where practical, note it in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that summaries will be accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CRSP Technologies Inc. and its people won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on a summary or on any content in the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your consumer-protection rights.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
